BID NOTICE
Sealed proposals for "White Deer Community Park - Community Hall Renovations" will be received at the White Deer Community Park, 992 White Deer Pike, New Columbia, PA 17856, until 2:00 pm prevailing time on Friday February 27, 2026. Proposals will be publicly opened and read immediately following the receipt of bids.
Bidding Documents will be available from Marotta/Main Architects, (e-mail: alf@marottamain.com) after 12 noon EST on Friday February 6, 2026. Drawings will be distributed to Prime Bidders only, electronically upon e-mail request. All questions must be submitted in writing (emailed) by close of business on Tuesday February 24, 2026. Bidders shall be qualified, bondable contractors, with a minimum of five years of experience. Proposals shall be irrevocable for (90) days after bid opening, in compliance with Act #317 of 1978, approved November 26, 1978, and as amended, and shall be accompanied by 10% bid bond or certified check, payable to White Deer Township.
Project Scope of Work for the MULTIPLE PRIME CONTRACT; General Construction and Plumbing Construction. Base Bid scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following: ADA renovations including exterior walks and ramps and interior restroom alterations. Minor electrical work associated with emergency lighting and exit signage will be included as part of the General Construction contract. Work also includes reroofing the entire building.
A prebid meeting will be held on site located at 992 White Deer Pike, New Columbia, PA 17856 on Tuesday February 17, 2026 at 2:00 pm.
The project is subject to applicable provisions of the following, including any amendments and supplements: Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987; Pennsylvania Human Relations Act of October 27, 1955, P.L. 744; Pennsylvania Public Works Contractor's Bond Law of December 20, 1967, P.L. 869, no. 385,. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond for 100% of the project sum will be required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive, at its discretion, any or all irregularities, mistakes, or omissions.
