NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Borough Council of the Borough of Mifflinburg, County of Union, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (the "Borough"), will, as part of its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Borough Office Building located at 120 N. Third Street, Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, conduct a public hearing and consider for enactment Ordinance No. 2026-01, repealing Chapter 1, Part 1, Section 101 of the Code of Ordinances of Mifflinburg Borough, the caption and a summary of such proposed Ordinance being as follows:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF MIFFLINBURG, UNION COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, REPEALING CHAPTER 1, PART 1, SECTION 101 OF THE MUNICIPAL ORDINANCES OF THE BOROUGH OF MIFFLINBURG ENTITLED ADMINISTRATION AND GOVERNMENT; ELECTED OFFICERS, MAYOR AND COUNCILMEN - SALARIES FIXED.

The Ordinance will repeal in its entirety Chapter 1, Part 1, Section 101 of the Code of Ordinances of Mifflinburg Borough, Administration and Government, Elected Officers, Mayor and Councilmen - Salaries Fixed. The Ordinance will strike the $1,800.00 annual salary for Mifflinburg Borough Council members and the Mayor of the Borough of Mifflinburg, payable in monthly installments of $150.00. The repeal of this Ordinance codified at ? 1-101 shall become effective immediately, and the salaries of Mifflinburg Borough Council members and the Mayor of the Borough of Mifflinburg will be terminated at the conclusion of their current terms of office.

The full text of the Ordinance is available for public inspection at the Borough Office Building located at 120 N. Third. Street, Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
